Some of the best fun we have with our business is selling the salt crystal lamps and bROWNbAG candles with WALK 'N COMFORT SHOES in Port Orchard's South Kitsap Mall.
Initially visiting our mall to find one exclusive outlet for our products, we wandered in to the shoestore, where Mike, it's owner, was helping a customer.
The customer purchased all our samples on sight.
But our question was: "If you were selling these salt crystal lamps and candles, where, in this mall, would you want to be?"
Mike's answer: "Right Here."

MIKE sells the finest shoes at a fair price (I know - I shop the catalogs and sales.) The day we brought samples in to the South Kitsap Mall, Mike found shoes he thought would work for me and shoved one onto my foot. I motioned for the other - it magically appeared. I wore them home and have since returned (to have him REMOVE them from my feet and, shaking his head, take them into the back and clean them). Barbara gloats over her bargain to Cheri Riehl, MA, who practicies reflexology in a space adjoining the shoe store. Cheri has worked with fellow locals such as Brenda Zink-McKee, owner of Sidney Village, who told me:
"I went to a neurologist, podiatrist, had cortisone shots and still had such bad pain for a whole year, I could not work or walk at times, my feet hurt so badly. I tried inserts and very expensive shoes. Even my doctor advised me to 'get a job where you just sit down'--
but after two treatments by Cheri, my pain is gone.

I tell everybody, too. About miracles happening in our own little town - about finding just the BEST SHOE STORE AROUND where you can find "any Berkenstocks you want" at a reasonable price; get a reflexology treatment if you are so inclined; where you can even find something as exclusive as our salt-mineral crystal lamp from the Himalayas or a handcrafted pure soybean wax candle.
